1-175th Infantry conducts Annual Training at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst to execute Readiness Training for future operations. Although disappointed at not conducting training in Bosnia Herzegovina as originally scheduled, the Battalion focused on individual readiness and squad – platoon operations.
Utilizing the resources at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst training involved live-fire operations, trench warfare, drone operations, and individual soldier movement techniques. The Battalion maximized the time and location to the highest readiness level possible. With a unique understanding of the current situation in Eastern Europe and utilizing lessons learned for current world combat operations the Battalion set about training effectively.
Not focusing on the past, but with an eye to the future, training concentrated on near peer and regional actors that US forces might find themselves up against. This realistic and real world training set the conditions for Annual Training 2023.
As the Battalion prepares for possible future deployments in various areas of the world, they will be prepared to execute any and all missions that they find themselves involved. Always an Honor and Guard, the 1-175th Infantry lives up to its heritage as not only Washington’s Own, but America’s Own…
